I have been busy trying to define goals for the remainder of 2010. It is difficult to put into words what you would like to accomplish without thinking whether you will be able to meet those goals. Nevertheless, I am shooting high and excited for the possibilities of meeting most of my goals.
1. Pay outstanding Student Loan with a balance of $4500 by the end of the 2010.
2. Complete 4 additional college courses. This is a biggie as I typically only take one course a semester. This would require that I complete two courses a semester to meet this goal. Wish me luck, I have put off my college education long enough. Only 10 classes to go so I would like to finish Aug 2011.
3. Save $2400 for vacation fund. I have yet to take a vacation for me. I wowould like to go to Puerto Rico, Belize, or somewhere warm and sunny by next summer 2011.
4. Fund Xmas account in the amount of $1000. This goal may be difficult as I can't count the month of December. So that means that I have to save $200 per month.
5. Start to track my spending by setting up budget spreadsheet. Already set up spreadsheet. I am using the month of July as my tester and hope to beetter identify opportunities to decrease spending in catergories and increasing savings.
6. Obtain passport. Previous passport expired but I hope to be able to complete application by the end of August 2010.
7. Read 7 books for leisure. It has been a long time since I really took the time to read for enjoyment.
8. Each weekend til the end of 2010, look for opportunities to discard items that are unneeded in a packed garage. At somepoint I would like to utilize the garage for its purpose (parking)..
9. Once a month I will ensure that I do something new whether its go to a different park, attend an event such as symphony, concert, etc, and/or take class such as knitting. I haven't figured this out but I need to make time to enjoy life versus just existing.
10. Lastly blog at least 3 times week as a means to purge myself of my thoughts and hopefully make some new friends in the process.
